Our Families
We support single-parent families in Edmonton and area by helping children (6 to 18 years of age) access group programs, mentors, and other social opportunities. Our priority is to connect each child with appropriate, enjoyable, and secure activities.
Getting to know the family helps us learn how to best serve each child. Because the family is so important, parents and guardians are a key part of a child’s introduction to our services and programs.
The following steps help us welcome a new child to agency services:
Steps | Parent | Child | |
---|---|---|---|
1. Call/email us | Learn more about our services for children. | ||
2. Application form | Complete an Application Form - Family. (Use the link on this page or call us to have a form mailed out.) | ||
3. Family interview | Meet with an Agency worker to talk further about your child’s interests, your family, and the potential fit with our services. | ||
4. Parent/child orientation | Participate in a child and parent orientation, including child safety training | ||
5. Select activites | Select activities of interest to your child. |
Our team follows up regularly with families to ensure that activities are appropriate for children. We also let you know about other opportunities that may be of interest to your child, you, or your family.
Thanks for your interest and we look forward to hearing from you.
